Here’s how

Round One – The quickest way to find out who’s buying is to call and ask them. At 20 calls per hour, it will take approximately 250 hours to make one call to each business. If we are able to contact one-third (1,650) on the first call, it would seem reasonable to expect that we could find 10%-20% (165-330) of this year’s 1,000 buyers. It would also seem reasonable to expect that a reasonably capable sales force, with a good product line could close 10-20% (16-65) sales, which, at $20,000 per sale could generate $300,000 to $1.3 million.

Round Two – A second round of calling to the remaining 70% that we weren’t able to contact in round one, would take 30% less time because we’ve narrowed the field by 30% from 5,000 to 3,500 in round one. Round two should take only 175 hours to call the remaining 3,500 once. ately $6,000 to find another 1/3 (1,650) , but the results per call should be greater than because 2/3’s of the remaining buyers are all in a 1/3 smaller pool (database).


Round Three – (90 days) A third round of calling to the remaining 1/3 (1,650) will cost 1/3 less than round one but should still achieve similar, if not greater results because the pool is much smaller by this time.


The typical cost for a current database of 5,000 records is about $.10-$.15 per record, or between $500-$800. What would a database of the 20% who plan buy this year, be worth to you?
